Magazines Feature Woodrose Winery Owner and Wine

May/June 2007 edition of Living Magazine, in an article entitled “Woodrose Winery- More Than Meets the Eye,” by Cortney Strube. Strube states that while in the Hill Country she visited several wineries but she “enjoyed the wine and great service that [she’d] not received elsewhere.” She also described our different style of tasting: “I was greeted immediately at the door and taken to my seat. I didn’t have to push my way through a crowd, but simply took a seat at a table in the center of the beautiful tasting room.”

Stonewall, TX. October 5, 2006 – Woodrose Winery owner, Mike Guilette is featured in Texas Cooking & Wine Magazine http://www.texascooking.com/features/
oct2006_woodrose_winery.htm  or http://www.texascooking.com/.   Mike is quoted stating, “My goal is to create an environment where people who are learning about wine can come and feel comfortable about wine, the process and themselves.  It’s all restaurant style seating.  We’ll bring everything to you at the table.  We want you to experience wine and learn about it on your own terms.”

The Woodrose Wine 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, Estate is featured in AppellationAmerica.com and reviewed by Wes Marshall, wine writer for the Austin Chronicle and author of The Wine Roads of Texas, which in turn has now become a three-part PBS documentary.  http://win.appellationamerica.com/win-reviews/857/woodrose-winery-2005-cabernet-sauvignon.html  Marshall states, “This is a Texas wine with powerful dark berry aromas and unbelievable soft and sweet tannins.  The mouth feel is closer to Bordeaux than Napa.  This is a wine that should last for ten years.”
